The Carapax 2.0 from Alpina is at home on the trails. With this revised version of the successful model, you are always in the right when riding off-road. No matter whether riding uphill or downhill. It is an allrounder for off-roading and is one of the lightest Enduro models on the market. The Run System Ergo Flex ensures maximum comfort and safety. The adjustment system impresses with a filigree construction and fixes the helmet evenly in 360 degrees around the head. There is no more individual, easier and more comfortable way to adjust a cycle helmet.
Another plus for comfort: the removable padding. It makes the helmet pleasant and comfortable to wear at all times – no matter how hot it gets on country trails. The Carapax 2.0’s low weight is down to the inmold production where the upper shell is thermally connected with the Hi-EPS. This results in a solid surface connection, which is responsible for a very sturdy design. The lower edge of the helmet is protected by the additional polycarbonate Edge Protect shell. Thanks to the seamless connection, it nestles seamlessly to the top shell.
For the best possible safety on rough trails, the back and the temple sections can be pulled further down. This creates even greater head coverage. Large air vents allow for optimum ventilation, fly screens keep insects away from the head, and the shield guarantees optimum protection in the field of vision.

Technologies
INMOLD
Inmold helmets are produced by foaming the inner shell underneath the outer shell under high pressure and heat. Thanks to the complete bonding between the upper and lower shells INMOLD helmets are extremely sturdy and very light. In addition, they offer clearly more safety than spot-bonded helmets.
FLY NET
For protection against insect bites, the front holes of some models are lined with a net.
AIR FLOW VENTING
ALPINA developers invest a lot of time and energy in continually improving the ventilation of our bike helmets. By using a wind tunnel tested configuration of the vents our engineers achieve a “Venturi” effect inside the helmet. It cools the head, reduces perspiration and increases performance.
EDGE PROTECT
Edge Protect is applied to the bottom edges of the helmet using Inmold technology – delivering a true plus in safety in side impacts and protection against damage in day-to-day use.
CERAMIC SHELL
That's the name for the outer shell of all ALPINA helmets featuring INMOLD manufacturing technology. This thin and light-weight material is extremely break- and scratch-resistant, UV-stable and antistatic.
SHIELD PROTECT
The detachable shield protects against dirt splash as well as direct sunlight.
HI-EPS
The inner shell of all INMOLD helmets is made of HI-EPS (High Expanded Polystyrene). It consists of a multitude of microscopic air pockets that absorb the forces occurring in an impact. In addition, HI-EPS absorbs neither water nor sweat.
ERGOMATIC
Tried and tested countless times, this is the buckle used in all Alpina cycle helmets. It features a red push button and multi-step automatic adjustment. It can be used one-handed, so for example you can loosen the strap when riding uphill and tighten it again for the descent, and it will not open in the event of a crash.
Y-CLIP
A helmet can only provide proper protection if it stays securely in place in the event of an impact. The fastening that joins the two straps under the ear is critical to this. Alpina‘s Y-Clip system guarantees a perfect fit down to the last millimetre, all in a matter of seconds.
RUN SYSTEM ERGO PRO
The top model of the new Alpina Adaptation Systems for the rear head has left and right of the central newly designed two large "headrests". Both, the wing-shaped cushion as well as the adjusting wheel itself, are made of a two component mix containing synthetic material and rubber. Since 2014, the Run System Ergo Pro is available in matching colors to the helmet.

Tak nakoniec som objednal M dnes prišla a už neodíde 😁. Sadla perfektne. Skusil som aj so zimnou hrubšou čiapkou pod prilbu síce ide trošku ťažšie nasadiť ale kolieskom ju aj tak musím utiahnuť lebo po nasadení nie je pevná. Riskol som to a tentokrát to vyšlo. Pripájam navážené gramy 272g(M)

There's nothing wrong with the helmet. Good workmanship. It is light. The size setting is good. Size M 52-57cm - my head is about 56 and with a cap it's just so, so the size fits me perfectly. Insect nets. The visor is adjustable by about 1 cm, so that no one thinks that the visor can be folded up. The color is such a pale blue, I like it.
